The Brighton Buzz

What's Happening Now!

Letter from the Editor:

It could be said, year after year, that the seasons come quickly and time travels fast. I’m not sure if it’s because we’veBrighton Colorado Autumn Day pic1 had such a wonderful summer and fall, but, the chilly weather has begun and surprised us all. It seemed as if that 60 -70 degree weather would go on forever…for me, that would be good. Colorado weather, for the most part is something truly to be thankful for.

Going into this year’s holiday season, there are many things here in Brighton that have been a part of 2007’s growth that are wonderful additions to our community. The Platte Valley Medical Brighton Colorado Autumn Day Pic2Center and its state-of-the-art facilities have provided a valuable resource to all of Brighton and the surrounding area’s citizens. Please note their listing for flu shots and see which time works best for you. Brighton will be getting a new library, and one of our favorite restaurants, the Brighton Depot, will be reopening this month.

For those that don’t spend much time driving around…drive into the Prairie Center Development and see all the new businesses going in there. Brighton’s business population is busy as ever and we have good reason to know that. The Brighton Buzz is publishing their second annual map of the City of Brighton, and that will be in your mailboxes mid to late November. Please look for it and take note of what’s available to you in all parts of our City. The downtown area has its own focus on the back side of the map, and all of your other critical public buildings, parks, schools, and advertised businesses that aren’t downtown are on the front side of the map. I thank my entire Buzz’n crew for their efforts on this project. Their participation, and special talents, have made this valuable resource what it is, and we look forward to you receiving your copy very soon.

May you have a Happy Thanksgiving and blessed November!
