The Brighton Buzz

What's Happening Now!

Letter from the Editor:

What a wonderful time of year we are experiencing! I am truly convinced that the winter we endured has heightened the pleasure for most to get outside, plant trees and bushes, and prepare for the joys of spring and summer. Beyond the fact that the trees are budding and the flowers are beginning to bloom, our business climate in Brighton is continuing to grow as well. I’m always pleased to meet our new businesspeople and find out more about the types of businesses our community is attracting. We take our hats off to all of the entrepreneurs with a desire to make life even better for the citizens of Brighton. It is our good fortune to live in this growing and energized environment!

An important focus this issue has to do with Mother’s Day. It may sound self-serving to say that Moms are the best, but, we are pretty special. Our beauty is in the trying to be special. The natural talent that mothers possess or acquire to make things the best they can be for their family is an ingredient in daily life that is irreplaceable. Take time this Mother’s Day to say thank you to the women that make a difference in your life. Many of our advertisers are offering special discounts or merchandise to make this holiday a happy one. Enjoy what they have to offer!

Lastly, Jennie and I want to share a few personal notes regarding our own roles as Mothers that are relative to the Brighton Buzz. Jennie will be giving birth to her second child early in June, and I will be participating in weddings for both of my sons, one in June and one in July this summer. We are nearing our 2nd year anniversary in July for publishing the Brighton Buzz and have experienced many exciting moments getting to this point. Delighted with our progress, we’re looking forward to our third year. Your patience may be required, however, as the publication may arrive in your mailbox a day or two late during these summer months while she and I do what Mothers seem to do best…multi-task. We both feel blessed to have such full and interesting lives.
Happy Spring to All,
