We’re coming into Summertime and
the living will be easy. Well, maybe not easy, but a wonderful kind of busy. This year, in Brighton, we will be celebrating Culturefest on June 30th. The town will be buzzing with activity and you shouldn’t miss the opportunity to visit the downtown stores, activity areas, and indulge in the food that will be available.
Last year was an experiment in offering more activities throughout Brighton to enlighten Culturefests’ visitors of what’s available in the Downtown Area. This year will be a similar, but better developed concept, designed to bring you an exciting experience as well as fun activities and entertainment. There will be shuttle rides to the new hospital to take tours of the facility before it opens. After the daytime activities end, there will be a concert in the evening! Don’t miss out on this fantastic event. Save that date…June 30th…on your calendar and bring your family to Culturefest!
In addition to our hometown activities, most people look forward to vacationing in the Summertime in their favorite recreational spots. There’s nothing better than “getting away” for a few days to help you appreciate home and refresh your perspective. We wish the best of summer days for all of our readers and hope that you and your families enjoy your favorite things this time of year. Barr Lake offers a quick get-away if you want to experience nature and beautiful surroundings for a few hours. If you haven’t visited yet, take the time to know what’s available nearby.
Last, but not at all least, is the fact that Father’s Day is one of June’s favorite days. Activity abounds in my neighborhood with Dads building play areas, teaching their kids any number of things, and showing amazing, continual support. It’s a heartwarming thing to watch. That “Dadlike” element of knowingness keeps families moving forward daily and handling the challenges they experience. Our hats go off to all of Brighton’s Dads and we wish them the happiest of Father’s Days. Do something fun and let Dad know how important he is to you.
