What's Happening Now!

Letter from the Editor:

We wanted to begin by saying we hope you’re having a fabulous summer and are looking forward to celebrating July 4th wherever you are that day. There is a listing of the times and activities sponsored by the City of Brighton on Page 5 for you to review and put into your schedule should you be here. This event includes lots of great music, fun, and food supplied by the Greater Brighton Fire District. Don’t forget to read the article on page 25 that speaks to the potential dangers of personal fireworks. We want everyone to have a safe and Happy 4th of July.

This time of year we think specifically of our veterans and active armed forces that continue to make our independence possible. For those of you with service men and women overseas, we honor them and pray for their safe return. Best wishes to them from The Brighton Buzz. My mind also began to ponder the value of our own personal independence and honoring that by exploring the things that mean the most to us individually. The benefit of our freedom is that ability. We might want to do one thing on the 4th that we’ve been wanting to do and just hadn’t gotten around to that expresses us individually. It’s just a thought, but, I believe a good one that exemplifies the true meaning of Independence Day.

This July issue brings The Brighton Buzz into its third year of publication. How exciting! Jennie and I both have enjoyed our journey with the Buzz and are continually pleased by the comments made by advertisers and readers expressing their appreciation of our magazine. We’ve got our thinking caps on and look forward to bringing new businesses, events, and information relating to Brighton and the surrounding areas to our readers. It is our immense pleasure to participate in the growth of our community and assist any way we can to enhance our readers’ knowledge of What’s Happening Now in our part of the world. Thank you for allowing us into your homes.
