The Brighton Buzz

What's Happening Now!

Letter from the Editor:

As I’m writing this, I’m thinking about the conversations I’ve had recently with people regarding their year in 2007. Each year brings its good and bad happenings to all of us. Enjoying or enduring those experiences moves us through time from month to month, and, then, without much ado, another year begins. We affix one or a number of the new calendars we’ve received to walls in various rooms of our lives and start our engines for another try at this earthly existence. That “New Beginning” is each year’s blessing and opportunity to choose the type of life and experience we want for ourselves. Holding that thought in reverence and acting on the possibilities that are all around us makes our “every day” something very special. We wish the best to all of you in 2008 and look forward to hearing about your news and events. Like the fire crackers on New Year’s Eve, we need to explode with energy and brilliance.

Happy, Happy New Year!!

2008 brings a number of new changes for The Brighton Buzz. We’ve increased our distribution to 17,500 to include many of Brighton’s rural routes and city routes, Henderson’s newer home developments, and a good bit of Reunion’s residents. We are thrilled with the growth in readership and hope that you continue to enjoy our publication. There are going to be a few changes in format to include an At-A-Glance news section from all facets of business and government in this area, as well as an inclusion of a Classified Section for you to post your garage sale, personal items for sale, jobs available in your business, or a need that you have that someone in our readership might be able to fill. Take time to let us know about your latest happening, and we’ll see what we can do to include it in our publication on an Activity Bulletin Board. We want to include as much of the residents’ “Buzz” as we can in our monthly offerings.

Lastly, we thank Jennifer Brandsma for all of her graphic contribution to The Brighton Buzz this past several years, as she has chosen to take a different path with her career this year. We wish her the verybest and appreciate her efforts in helping to create our magazine. Our new graphic designer, Kovas Lapsys, will begin 2008 for us with this January issue. We look forward to the creativity that Kovas’s talent will bring to our publication. Welcome to Kovas!

Please note many of the new advertisers who are creating their New Beginnings in Brighton and surrounding areas. We are delighted to showcase their businesses and encourage you to find out more about them. Things just keep getting better and better in this Northeastern Corridor!

Make 2008 The Best Year Yet,
