Letter from the Editor:
It’s more than amazing to me that Christmas is right around the corner. This year has literally blown by. Time flies when you live in a community that is growing every day to include more value for all of its citizens. It makes me feel like we should take time to thank those who have worked tirelessly in ’07 to build our fantastic, new hospital, develop our schools, create a shopping center that is so needed, and business owners following their bliss to offer better products and more advanced services to everyone in Brighton and the surrounding areas.
Creating the map of Brighton, that you should have received by now, was an inspiring experience for us at the Brighton Buzz. Much effort was put into developing a source of information that you’ll use over and over again. While we wanted it to be graphically appealing, our goal was to give you an idea…not all are listed…of how many businesses are downtown and all over Brighton that want to serve you. Our 150+ advertisers are ready to share their products, services, and talents to make your life easier without having to leave the area. Drive around town, use the map, explore what’s here. We learned a lot about Brighton in the process of making the map and encourage you to do the same while using yours.
Lastly, we did want to mention that you should not miss the next play that the Platte Valley Players produce. I’ve had the pleasure of attending 3 of their plays, and they’re each better than the last. This talented group of people put their hearts, voices, and love of theatre into creating entertainment for all of us to enjoy. Their rendition of Godspell, performed recently, provided a wonderful evening of entertainment at a very reasonable price. It’s especially fun to see people you know show how talented they are theatrically. Be sure to watch for the announcement of their next performance. You won’t want to miss it!
