Staff Sergeant Dennis Griffee

The army discharged him and he is now permanently disabled. He has been through two spinal fusions to try and ease his injuries. He can walk in short durations but the pain in his legs limits him in his daily activities and requires the use of walker or wheelchair to do anything major.

Despite everything, Dennis is living here in Brighton with his new wife Stacia. Together they have 4 children who adore him. They moved here for that small town but close to the city feel.”

The Mayor and City Council presented Dennis with a proclamation proclaiming February 6, 2008 as Dennis Griffee Day in the City of Brighton and a 90 day pass to the Brighton Recreation Center. He received a standing ovation by all those present and Brighton is honored to have a young man with Dennis’ courage and dedication living in the Brighton community. Thank you Dennis for your service to our country.
