The excitement built as the nominees were
asked to stand while their businesses were
defined and their contribution to the community
discussed at the recent Brighton Chamber of
Commerce annual dinner and awards ceremony.
Three other businesses nominated for the
same award have been frequent advertisers in
this very magazine. As the announcement of the
award was made, a strong feeling of gratitude
swept over me and an overwhelming awareness
that this honor should be shared with many.
Five and one half years into our existence as a
publication, we were being honored for helping
commerce grow in Brighton and the surrounding
areas and making the community aware of
many of its happenings. We had become the
“Buzz” for that moment. Interestingly, what we
had created for others was happening for us!
We are very honored and thankful.
We make each other great! Because Brighton
is a small community, the opportunity exists to
connect with many people on a regular basis.
Businesses helping other businesses is the way
we grow and withstand tough economic times.
With a bit of creativity, networking happens like
breathing. It has been our goal since beginning.
this journey to bring a number of local businesses
to your attention. In that process, a true respect has
grown for the talent & passion of many of the people
who frequent our pages. Their commitment to
their businesses and desire to make you, as readers,
aware of it creates the excitement there is each
month putting together The Brighton Buzz. We take
our responsibility seriously to tell their story in the
best way possible and look forward to your receiving
a publication you want to read and use.
