The Brighton Senior Center offers a variety of programs and services for those
55 and older in Brighton and the surrounding rural areas. Below you will find
some special programs that will be available in the month of March.

Shingles Vaccinations
Tri-County Health Dept. has received a grant enabling them to offer a
limited number of free shingles vaccinations. The target populations are
those age 60-65 without insurance and those 65+ without Part D insurance.
First come, first served for the shot. 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Fri. Mar. 5

Grief, Loss, and Healing
If you are grieving from the loss of a loved one, this workshop is for you.
Chaplain Yong Hui McDonald from Adams County Detention Facility and
Pastor Lisa Worthington will be giving presentations on grief, loss and
healing. If you or someone you know would benefit from understanding
how to process grief, please sign up to attend.

Free Tax Filing Assistance
Professional tax experts will be on site at the Brighton Senior Center to
help you fill out your 2009 taxes. Bring all tax related documents and
identification! This special event is provided for you by Congressman Ed

Strategies for Adapting to Hearing Loss
Learn how to live well with hearing loss! We’ll look at conversation
patterns and habits and how they change with hearing loss. We’ll share
ideas and solutions on managing hearing loss in different situations.
Learn how to choose the best locations in restaurants and social events to
maximize chances of communication success. Learn real-life tips and
tricks! Led by Rebecca Herr of the Hearing Loss Awareness Project.
